This incredible wedding garter set was made using the bride's fiance's neck tie  as well as her grandfather's vintage cufflink! When Lauren Hallman first contacted us, I was floored for two reasons: one, her request was just the sort of thing that we love doing and two, because she had a compound vision for her garter! That is to say, not only did she want to send us one of her fiance's favorite neck ties, but she also had a vintage cufflink in mind for her garter set that belonged to her grandfather. The best part? The little gold cufflink was engraved with her grandfather's initials, making it even more precious and special! Truth fast: I had done plenty of neck tie garters in the past up until this point, but never had I combined this motif with a vintage gold cufflink that had SO MUCH meaning. After an initial phone consultation that went well over an hour, Lauren quickly shipped us her fiance's beloved neck tie as well as the cuff link in order to have us transform them into her wedding garter set. You MUST SEE the final product!

If you look closely, you will see a flash of crimson satin across the back line of Lauren's garters. All of this fabric was taken from her then-fiance's favorite neck tie. I will never forget how psyched I was when it arrived! The color of the crimson was so dense and gorgeous. (Side note: we also embroidered the inside of her garters with her wedding date in order to make her garter set truly heirloom-worthy.)

At the back of her keepsake garter, we carefully sewed on her grandfather's gold cufflink. I adore how the engraving reflects his initials. Ok, one final photo and then I'll stop. Promise. This is what Lauren's garters looked like inside of her signature La Gartier box. When we mailed them off to her that day, I was overcome with sentimental feelings for her relationship story. This garter set encompasses just so much gorgeousness and meaning. It's hard to wrap my mind around it! This garter set now be in Lauren's family for forever, and I smile from ear to ear when I think of Lauren's daughter wearing it down the aisle someday herself!
