Every once and awhile, a project comes along that is so special, it's hard to even write about. I have never been one who comfortable speaking about the loss of my friend's loved ones. In fact, when it comes to the passing of a friend's mother or father, I feel that the best approach is utter silence and respect. Why? Because at the end of the day, you don't know anything about the special bond between a mother and a daughter, or a son and a father. In my opinion, it's just too sacred for me to speak to. So, for this post, I am going to include an excerpt that Emily wrote about her mother to give you an idea of just how special her custom ring bearer pillow truly was. Ok, hang on. I have to get ready for this.
"I'm still in denial about my mom being truly gone and it confuses me more than not. I know she's not here because I'm not an idiot but I truly feel her around me but then that makes me have a lump in my throat immediately when I think or say that. Everyone grieves differently, and it's just hard sometimes. I miss you mommy. I know you are with me always. I just want you physically back and get to know my husband."
Last year, we had the honor of creating a ring bearer pillow for Emily's wedding using a shirt from her mom's closet. And honestly, that's all I am going to say about that. So much love and respect for you Emily.
