When Should I Order My Wedding Garter?

When it comes to ordering your wedding garter, we highly recommend ordering at least three to four months before your wedding day if not sooner. Why? The reason is this: oftentimes, in our shop, we will sell out of a certain design or style. The longest that we are ever sold out of a style is 30 to 45 days. So, if you try to order the garter of your dreams three months before your wedding and discover that it is sold out, then you will only need to wait about a month or a month and a half before it comes back in stock. This means that you will still have time before the wedding to order your garter and receive it before your wedding! If possible, order even sooner! In my opinion, it never hurts to have the finer details crossed off of your to-do-list early! That way, when those last minute issues arise in the month before. your wedding, you will have time for them...but more importantly, mental space for them!

When aiming to find the balance between classicism and modernism, look no farther than the Venus Pearl garter. Set within a sparkling swarovski crystal front band, exactly 22 pearls gleam like eternal moons in an intentionally cluster-like, celestial pattern. ☪️ The best part? If you look closely, you will see that there are exactly three star shapes hidden within the band, meant to symbolize growth in life or personal achievements. (no, seriously-- google it. 4. The Ever After Wedding Garter

Where do we start?? This garter is so magical, that we need at least a paragraph to describe its multi-dimensional components! 💎 First, a little back story: When creating this garter, the first feature that we knew that we wanted to include was tons of sparkle, a distinct 3-D floral element and a distinct "princess blue" color. 💙

As you can see in the photos above, the front band is primarily comprised of clear, sparkling pear-shaped swarovski crystals. ✨ Blooming from within the sparkling band are exactly five flowers: three blue (made of a soft acrylic and a rhinestone detail at the center of each flower) as well as two white flowers (made of gauzy, ethereal organza with a pearl detail at the center.) 🌸

The best part? The inside of the back band is embroidered with the words "Happily Ever After" in princess blue. (something blue? check and check✔️✔️) Other details to note: the back band is created using a lace overlay on the outside which can be admired from behind you was you walk down the aisle or dance the night away on the dance floor). The back band also features 15 sparkling swarovski crystal rhinestone embellishments. (hand-placed for extra sparkle.) ✨

5. The Galia Garter

Created using swarovski crystals and a semi-transparent illusion midline, this garter features jewels set in a symbolic floral pattern along the bottom and top perimeter, making for a stunning organic shape. The back half of this garter is made of a soft light elastic with a ruffled organza overlay. If you look closely at the illusion midline of the garter, you will see a honeycomb crosshatched pattern, specifically made to mimic the iconic design elements found within the gown of Galia Lahav and Berta. 💗✨

Are Wedding Garters Uncomfortable?

The answer to this question is actually quiet simple: if you buy a garter that is old-school (with cheap lace all the way around it) and a double bow that looks as if it hasn't been modernized since 1982, then yes. But if you purchase a slim, modern wedding garter from, say, our collection then you won't feel it as all as you walk with love and pride on your wedding day. Our garters have been designed to be light-weight, slim, and purposefully crafted in order to ensure that you don't even know they are there. Just whatever you do- don't buy one of those super fabric heavy, cheap garters from your local bridal store. You will not only feel it all day/night, but it will also make for an eye sore in all of your wedding photos. Sorry. Just being honest.

Which Leg Do I Wear My Garter On?

The quick and simple answer to this question is: there is no rule. That is to say, you can wear your garter on either your right or your left leg. I generally like to recommend the left leg if you are right-handed, and the right leg if you are left-handed, but honestly there are absolutely no rules surrounding this, not even in the historical research of the wedding garter.

Wedding Garters Photos With Your Friends and Family - A Match Made In Heaven

We have been looking at wedding garter photos sent to us by our clients for years! While we adore all of them, there seems to be something extra special about getting a wedding garter photo when, say, your mother is the one helping you into it or when, say, it is your best friend who is slipping your garter on.
