High End Wedding Garters With Artistic Details and Sparkle

I know what you are thinking-- how can a garter be high-end? Like really though- how designer could this little bridal accessory actually get!? Well, it's funny that you ask that. That question is the exact reason we started our business ten years ago. We wanted to create a company that was known for being the Christian Louboutin of wedding garters.

Today, I can honestly say that we truly are. And while I realize that I sound like I am bragging right now, the truth is....well, it really is just #TRUTH.

And hey - it isn't bragging if it's facts, right?

I have spent countless hours googling phrases such as "high end garters" and "artistic unique wedding garter" and there truly are not other garters on the market that truly compare to ours. We have the highest quality around in terms of the brilliance of our crystals, not to mention a wide range of styles based upon different bride personalities. And don't even get me started on the level of craftsmanship that we put into our designs.

1. The Infinity Garter

Created in homage to never-ending love, our brand new Infinity garter features two braided, brilliant sparkling bands interwoven in an infinity silhouette. This gorgeous, sparkling garter is so unique that I don't even know where to start. It has been worn by multiple celebrities, including Kandi Burruss of the Real Housewives of Atlanta as well as actress Anna Camp from Pitch Perfect. The Vienna has been in our collection since 2015. Most arguably our most sought-after wedding garter design, the Venus Pearl garter is everything people say she is and more. When aiming to find the balance between classicism and modernism, look no farther than the Venus Pearl garter. Set within a sparkling swarovski crystal front band, exactly 22 pearls gleam like eternal moons in an intentionally cluster-like, celestial pattern. ☪️ The best part? If you look closely, you will see that there are exactly three star shapes hidden within the band, meant to symbolize growth in life or personal achievements. (no, seriously-- google it. Star symbolism.) 🌟

4. The Ever After Wedding Garter

Where do we start?? This garter is so magical, that we need at least a paragraph to describe its multi-dimensional components! 💎 First, a little back story: When creating this garter, the first feature that we knew that we wanted to include was tons of sparkle, a distinct 3-D floral element and a distinct "princess blue" color. 💙

As you can see in the photos above, the front band is primarily comprised of clear, sparkling pear-shaped swarovski crystals. ✨ Blooming from within the sparkling band are exactly five flowers: three blue (made of a soft acrylic and a rhinestone detail at the center of each flower) as well as two white flowers (made of gauzy, ethereal organza with a pearl detail at the center.) 🌸

The best part? The inside of the back band is embroidered with the words "Happily Ever After" in princess blue. (something blue? check and check✔️✔️) Other details to note: the back band is created using a lace overlay on the outside which can be admired from behind you was you walk down the aisle or dance the night away on the dance floor). The back band also features 15 sparkling swarovski crystal rhinestone embellishments. (hand-placed for extra sparkle.) ✨

5. The Galia Garter

Created using swarovski crystals and a semi-transparent illusion midline, this garter features jewels set in a symbolic floral pattern along the bottom and top perimeter, making for a stunning organic shape. The back half of this garter is made of a soft light elastic with a ruffled organza overlay. If you look closely at the illusion midline of the garter, you will see a honeycomb crosshatched pattern, specifically made to mimic the iconic design elements found within the gown of Galia Lahav and Berta. 💗✨

This design was inspired by the character of Cinderella. Thus, the subtle "Cinderella-dress-blue" tones that you see in the jewels above.

Every detail of this garter was inspired by the bride who adores animals and is well-known for her compassionate nature. More likely than not, this bride is not a very loud person. In fact, she might be one of the quietest people at a party, but she is known for carrying herself with a grace that is unparalleled. 💅🏻 Anyone who knows this bride is well aware of the fact that she believes deeply in acts of service, whether it be volunteering to help abandoned animals or assisting the elderly who have become too old to be able to care for themselves anymore. 💗 🧵

Featured: La Gartier bride Monyetta Shaw's Wedding Garter In Essence Magazine

Monyetta Shaw is now Monyetta Carter, and it has a very nice ring to it.

The entrepreneur and former TV personality wed partner Heath Carter in a star-studded wedding in Atlanta over the weekend. She looked fantastic, saying “I do” in a blush-to-pink gown while her new husband looked dashing in a white and black tuxedo combination. The best part? She wore not one, but two La Gartier garters on her wedding day!!! ....And while we are still waiting to get the full photo gallery back from Monyetta, we thought we'd share just a few images that she has sent us already!

Before her big ceremony, Monyetta Shaw sat pretty for a fabulous "getting ready" photoshoot at The Biltmore Hotel. She wore our beloved Vienna garter, a pair of honey comb crosshatched heels and a floor-length satin bridal robe. I die. But get ready for this next one!

Jimmy Choo Atelier + La Gartier Wedding Garters. A Match Made In Heaven.

If you are reading this blog post then you have most likely fallen in love with the gowns of Jimmy Choo Atelier. Full confession: we have too. The weirdest part?!!! Barely anyone knows yet that Jimmy Choo has launched a bridal line, which blows my mind.

But wait- here is a little back story for those who might be reading this and don't know about the new Jimmy Choo wedding dresses: While Jimmy Choo is mostly known for their gorgeous shoes and handbags, they decided to release a small, bespoke collection of widely creative wedding gowns last year.

Elegantly deemed "The Atelier", these gowns are being designed by Professor Jimmy Choo himself in collaboration with The Atelier. To quote their bio on the website:

"In 2015, the talented and ingenious international shoe master Professor Jimmy Choo began to turn his attention to wedding dresses. In his view, a wedding dress is more than just a piece of clothing, actually it carries the dreams of every girl, the desire for love, and the expectation of their own wedding and future life. And this concept and idea fully coincides with the concept of the Haute Couture craftsmanship that THE ATELIER has always held.
This is how the collaboration between Professor Jimmy Choo OBE and The Atelier started, creating a fusion of wedding culture around the world. THE ATELIER Studio, with its international vision and background, has always inspired the beautiful vision of an elegant bride , remembering the goddess of Athens, or the gorgeous French, romantic and traditional elegance, or the American avant-garde."

Currently, I know that there are a TON of brides researching the Jimmy Choo gowns on the internet, so I thought it would be helpful to show you just how beautiful these two gowns are. We styled them with our couture wedding garters on model Mariya Khlysta...and when I tell you that I like how the final photos came out, I mean that I LOVE HOW THE FINAL IMAGES CAME OUT. Keep scrolling below to catch a glimpse of how perfectly this Jimmy Choo Atelier gown looked with our garters, as well as a few more glimpses of their newest collection!

Pictured above: one of the Jimmy Choo Atelier dresses styled with our sparkling Aurora garter. This particular gown was from The Atelier's "Fairytale" Collection, so we thought it only appropriate to pair it with our princess Aurora garter for max ten glamour vibes.

If you look closely, you'll see that the sleeves on this gown are asymmetrical. The one on the left is a full sleeve, and the one on the right is a cap sleeve. When I first saw this gown at Elite Pour La Vie in Atlanta, I wasn't sure if I liked the different sleeves. However, once we saw it on your model, I fell in love. The asymmetrical sleeves stand to be my favorite detail on this gown!

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Brittany Sullivan's Heirloom Garters Made Using Lace From Her Mother's Wedding Dress

Have you ever wondered what kind of transformative possibilities there are for your mother's wedding gown? Or are you a bride whose mother wants you to wear her gown on your big day in some form or another...and you are looking to find an alternative way to work it into your wedding day?

Well, you have come to the right place! This is exactly what happened last month when La Gartier bride Brittany Sullivan contacted us. She wanted to use her mother's dress fabric in a way that way meaningful, but wasn't quite sure what was possible. After an hour long phone consultation (filled with lots of laughter and brainstorming) we decided to create an heirloom wedding garter set for Brittany as well as two completely custom bridal hankies! Keep reading to see the final product!

While we had done a TON of "repurposed" custom wedding garters up until this point, we had not yet (at this point in 2018) made a custom garter set that also included two heirloom handkerchiefs! Suffice, to say, I was so excited! The final product came out absolutely beautiful. I still cannot believe my eyes when I look at all of the special little details!

Pictured above: one hankie for Brittany herself and one hankie for Brittany's mother. All of the ivory satin that you see was taken from Brittany's mom's dress. Then, to infuse even more heirloom-integrity, we also extracted the lace from the train of her gown and used it as the trim along the edge of the hankies. I'll never forget how well-made and elegant this lace was. Did someone say french alencon?!

Above: a close up photo of the heirloom handkerchief that we made for Brittany herself. The expression "ForAlways and Allever" was a special saying that Brittany and her now-husband always said to each other. It was apart of their exclusive love-language, and we just about started crying when we were embroidering it. How special is this?

Pictured above: Brittany's incredible custom garter set! Brittany was a BIG lover of sunflowers, so we wove a distinct sunflower motif throughout both her hankies and her garters. If you look closely, you will see the phrase "ForAlways and Ellever" embroidered in sunflower gold to the inside back band of her sparkling Ever After garter. I die.

Pictured above: Brittany's toss garter which she, of course, never tossed. All of the lace that we used along the band of her garter was also taken from her mother's wedding dress. My favorite part? The little tiny ivory pearls. All vintage. All sentimental. All perfect.

Ok, one final photo and I'll stop. Promise. This is by far my favorite photo of Brittany's designs as it features not only one of her hankies but also her garters. The little sunflower details lend the entire project such a cheerful and happy feel. I can't even get over it! What a love-filled, special tribute to her mother! And what an amazing set to pass down to her daughter someday!

Brittany, if you are reading this, then I want to tell you how happy I am that you reached out to us! When I think of you potentially passing any of these gorgeous designer items down to your daughter someday, I tear up with emotion. I mean, two legacies of Sullivan women is one thing, but three?! Please tell me that this is going to happen! Thank you and your mother for trusting La Gartier with such an serious and love-filled project. We can't wait to work with you again in the future!
