Just finished: La Gartier bride Jamie Boekhoff's gorgeous custom army name tag wedding garter set!! The story: Jamie's fiance was in the army special forces, so she wanted a design that had a meaningful army touch but that retained a classic, feminine look. So, we chose the Athena garter as her keepsake garter but opted to personalize it by incorporating her fiance's army name tag (taken straight from his uniform!) into the back band. 💗 To add to the heirloom integrity of this garter set, Jamie sent me lace from her mother's wedding gown to use on both her keepsake and her toss (which she will never actually toss) and a "St. Lucia" blue turquoise ribbon for the center bow on her toss garter. The turquoise blue ribbon serves as not only her something blue but also a nod to the color of her bridesmaids gowns AND the location of her wedding -- ST.LUCIA!! 🐠🌴🌊🐚 🐟🐬 The best part? The skeleton key hanging from the center of her toss garter symbolizes her love for her recently departed grandfather, who was a huge lover of skeleton keys and who gave Jamie a small collection when he passed. Jamie, creating this set with you has been touching, rewarding and just plain fun! I can't believe we started with the name tag concept alone and then somehow managed to create a piece with multiple layers of meaning!! And so naturally!! If there was ever a wedding accessory to be kept, it's this one. We did good!!!
