Just finished: La Gartier bride Kaci Vrabec custom paisley shirt and Fleur De Lis wedding garter set. Oh, did I mention art deco too? That too. This garter set was so incredible on so many different levels. I barely know where to begin. Here is the story behind what is possibly the prettiest "something blue" wedding garter set EVER created: the blue paisley fabric that you see on the back of her keepsake garter and the body of her toss garter were taken from a shirt that once belonged to Kaci's nana. Kaci lost her grandmother not too long ago, and wanted to have something on her wedding day that was symbolic of her shining personality and kind heart. When I heard this, I knew right away that this was a project that I wanted to be apart of. So, Kaci shipped me the Paisley shirt and we set to work with the #LoveTransformation project right away. (If you follow us on instagram, then chances are you saw the video where I was cutting up this shirt with Poison by Bell Biv Devoe blasting in the background.)The final product came out STUNNING!! Truth be told: The elements of Kaci's design were so multi-layered and meaningful that I can't think of anything else to do but bullet-point them! Scroll through the photos below to learn more about what might be the world's most special "something blue" garter set ever created.Kaci is saying "I Do" in New Orleans, so we decided to add a tiny Fleur De Lis pendant to the center of her toss garter to symbolize what will forever be the location of the happiest day in her life. *grabs tissues*I had a feeling that Kaci was not going to want to toss her custom Fleur De Lis toss garter, so I created a third sparkling design for her that would work well with her gown and also impress all of her guests. (But not so special that she wouldn't want to toss it. )The tiny silver Fleur De Lis pendant was an Etsy find. My favorite part? The shop we purchased it from was located in NOLA.My favorite detail? The tag from Kaci's Nana's shirt was sewn to the inside of her toss garter as a special, hidden detail.La Gartier bride Kaci Vrabec's amazingly gorgeous custom garters inside of the signature La Gartier box. Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Nicole Hoffman's Pink Police Officer- Inspired Wedding Garter Set
If you look up La Gartier bride Nicole Hoffman on Instagram, the first thing that it says is "Fiance." The second thing that it read is "lover of all things pink and sparkly." When I read this, I just knew that Nicole and I were going to get along. Little did I know that the garter set that would be born of our meeting would be just that: pink and sparkly. The back story: Nicole first contacted me with the hope that I could create a police-officer-inspired wedding garter for her October 2017 nuptials. (She is marrying a man who has been in the police for for the past 2 years and in the military before that. Basically, a man with bravery in excess.) However, Nicole and I both agreed that her garter shouldn't look like traditional police-inspired garters that you see on, say, Etsy or other online stores. (ie: thin blue line theme, super cheap bright blue organza, etc.) On the contrary, Nicole requested a garter that exuded feminity and utter girliness in the heart of the design, with a beautiful but understated nod to her soon-to-be-hubby's profession at the center. Below are photos of all three of Nicole's garters: one to keep, one to pass down and one to throw. Underneath each photos is a little bit of written information about each garter, so make sure to read those little babies too! (Note: please keep in mind that if you are interested in a personalized garter of your own, then we would LOVE to work with you!! Simply email firstname.lastname@example.org or use the contact form by clicking here.)
For Nicole's garter set, we ordered an unbelievably beautiful locket from My Beloved Collection that was engraved with her soon-to-be-hubby's badge number. Dear Nicole, the number "258" will forever remind me of you and the love you have for Sam. <insert weeping Holy Matrimoji emoji here>
"ballet slipper pink" was the name of the satin that we used on all 3 of Nicole's garters.
The bow at the center of Nicole's toss garter (which she will actually never end up tossing!) was a slightly iridescent white satin ribbon which is more or less a unicorn in the world of fine ribbons.
All of the trim that we used on the tapered ends of Nicole's garters was made using a fine iridescent "horse hair" trim, which gave her whole design a magical, almost-mermaid-like feeling to it. I'm pretty sure that if you looked up the word "playful" in the dictionary, this is the trim you would see.
I honestly can't decide which garter I like the most! As someone who truly loves all things pink and sparkly, I can honestly say that this might be the prettiest police-officer wedding garter set ever created. Nicole, I am so happy that we met! We get all the A+ star stickers for this one!

As June comes to a close, so does all of our June customizations. This month, I worked with three different brides to create 3 completely unique wedding garters sets. While I don't usually play favorites, I have to say that June's "winning" custom garter design is La Gartier bride Victoria Henderson's vintage locket and opal garter set. (see photos and captions below!)When Victoria contacted us last March to book her custom garter, she told me that she wanted something that matched her gown as well as the beading on her sash. I agreed to take on her customization immediately, expecting it to turn out just like her gown.......... but her garters ended up being SO MUCH MORE!! Here are just a few photos of Victoria's garter set along with some written info about my favorite designs elements:
The rose gold locket at the center of her toss is an original antique that Victoria and I stumbled across on Etsy. We just about died when we found this one because "M" is the first initial of her fiancé' name: Montana. We weren't even looking for an engraved locket, let alone one engraved with an "M"....but it's my personal opinion that this BEAUTY found its way to us for the creation of her garters. Meant to be? Yes, yes and yes!
The pink velvet ribbon on her toss garter was chosen to match her bridesmaids dresses as well as the slight blush pink tone of her Enzoani bridal gown. Also, the opal and rhinestone beading on her keepsake matches the beading on her sash, but not so matchy matchy that it's obnoxious. Her wedding date and initials are embroidered on the inside of her garter in navy blue to match her groomsmens tuxes. (This means that Victoria has not only one but two "something blues" for her wedding day!)Because Victoria didn't want to toss her vintage "M" locket garter, we created this amazing "G" inspired toss for her. That way, she could keep the vintage locket design and still do the garter toss. (G is the first letter of her new last name! So appropriate, right?!)
The only thing not pictured here is all of the beautiful custom packaging that we created when we packed up her garters to be shipped!! Also not pictured here is the look on her daughter's face 30 years from now when Victoria gives her one or both of these garters for her very own wedding day!! <insert happy tears emoji>Victoria, I can't wait to hear about what you decide to put into the locket. Knowing how much you love florals and greenery, I have a feeling it will be something organic from your wedding day but anything you decide will most likely be beyond gorgeous! If you love these photos as much as we do and would like to speak with someone about having a custom garter made for yourself or someone whom you love, then please feel free to contact us via email at email@example.com OR you can use the contact form by clicking here. Happy La Gartier everyone!

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Kelley Romero's Romantic Southern Bayou Inspired Wedding Garter SetJust finished: La Gartier bride Kelley Romero's Romantic Southern Bayou wedding garter set!! This special design was created using pieces of Kelley's mothers' wedding veil and gown. (If you watch our videos on instagram, then you will probably remember the beautiful vintage veil we had sitting on top of our studio lamp for 2 weeks. Her veil made our entire room feel more alive and beauty-infused, similar to how one single vase of roses can bring a room to life.)Originally, Kelley had requested a garter that would be romantic, whimsical, girly sparkly and unique to match her Hayley Paige gown but after we spoke via telephone, she and I decided to also add elements from her mother's wedding day ensemble. This took the significance of her garter set from a 5 to a 10 in my opinion!!! The best part?? All of the embellishments that we pulled from the vintage veil were IRIDESCENT, which couldn't have worked more perfectly with Kelley's love of Hayley Paige!!!Below are detailed photos of Kelley's unbelievably special wedding garter set! If you love this set as much as we do, then read the captions below each photo to learn more about the details that make this design so meaningful!! Interested in a custom garter set of your own?? You can contact us by clicking here. All of the tiny flowers that you see came from the crown of her mother's veil. This took hours upon hours of hand-sewing and cutting pieces off of Kelley's mothers' original veil, but to be completely honest, it was a blast!!The color of the light champagne pink fabric under the flowers was created to match the layered skirt on her gown as well as the pink ombré Sara Gabriel veil that Kelley will be wearing. (i die)The two bridal buttons on either side of her "Hayley" toss garter were taken from her mother's gown. The swarovski crystals that we placed inside the flowers and in little "cluster" arrangements on the back band of her garter were done in a mixture of clear and opal stones to match Kelley's other wedding accessories. My favorite part? Kelley sent me the original tag from the inside of her mother's gown to be incorporated into her garter. Talk about a meaningful "something blue"! (or should I say "something navy blue"?)Because Kelley ended up adoring her Hayley toss garter, I decided to make her a third, simple pink velvet toss for the garter removal part of her reception. The flower at the center and the little iridescent sequin leaf in the middle were both taken from the crown on her mother's veil.Kelley, I could go on forever about how incredible these garters turned out, but what I can't communicate in words is the feeling that came over me when I had your wedding music playing while slowly hand-sewing the details on the back band. Something truly magical happened in those moments, like weaving your love of Mark together with your love of your Mom and...maybe, just maybe, the love you will have for your future daughter.
