Boho Wedding Garters for the Boho Glam Bride
The arrival of summer means the smell of sunscreen, entire days spent in bikinis and a diet comprised of fruit and popsicles. (maybe just me?) However, here at La Gartier, it also means the release of a BRAND NEW limited edition design. And this summer, it's all about boho glam. While we aren't releasing photos of our new limited edition just yet, we are definitely revealing teaser videos and photos to prepare you all for the mega-boho-beauty that is about to take over our collection. If you follow us on instagram or Twitter, then you have probably already seen a few of the images that have inspired the design of our newest-limited edition design, however if you have not, then below are a few pictures (and even a written description!) of the inspiration behind our newest limited-edition wedding garter design. She has been named the "Electric Boho" garter. And when I tell you that she stays true to her name, I mean it. And now for a confession: if you are a bride who identifies with anything that you see below, then you are going to go absolutely B-A-N-A-N-A-S over the Electric Boho garter. The only bad news is that we are releasing only 10 of these beauties, so it will be a first-come, first-serve situation once it is released on July 10th. I am going to say that one more time: there are only 10 of these available. So, if you love what you are seeing, then check back with us at 12:01am on July 10th for your chance to snag one of the first ten.Lastly-- an important note to any bride-to-be who is reading this blog long after the passing of our Electric Boho garter: we have a few other designs in our permanent collection that are always available and still very much boho-inspired. To see just one of them, click here. Don't love it? Then feel free to email us at info@lagartier.com to inquire about a custom design made just for your boho-ridden heart. A Vintage Locket & Opal Wedding Garter For La Gartier bride Victoria Henderson
As June comes to a close, so does all of our June customizations. This month, I worked with three different brides to create 3 completely unique wedding garters sets. While I don't usually play favorites, I have to say that June's "winning" custom garter design is La Gartier bride Victoria Henderson's vintage locket and opal garter set. (see photos and captions below!)When Victoria contacted us last March to book her custom garter, she told me that she wanted something that matched her gown as well as the beading on her sash. I agreed to take on her customization immediately, expecting it to turn out just like her gown.......... but her garters ended up being SO MUCH MORE!! Here are just a few photos of Victoria's garter set along with some written info about my favorite designs elements:The rose gold locket at the center of her toss is an original antique that Victoria and I stumbled across on Etsy. We just about died when we found this one because "M" is the first initial of her fiancé' name: Montana. We weren't even looking for an engraved locket, let alone one engraved with an "M"....but it's my personal opinion that this BEAUTY found its way to us for the creation of her garters. Meant to be? Yes, yes and yes!
The pink velvet ribbon on her toss garter was chosen to match her bridesmaids dresses as well as the slight blush pink tone of her Enzoani bridal gown. Also, the opal and rhinestone beading on her keepsake matches the beading on her sash, but not so matchy matchy that it's obnoxious.
Her wedding date and initials are embroidered on the inside of her garter in navy blue to match her groomsmens tuxes. (This means that Victoria has not only one but two "something blues" for her wedding day!)Because Victoria didn't want to toss her vintage "M" locket garter, we created this amazing "G" inspired toss for her. That way, she could keep the vintage locket design and still do the garter toss. (G is the first letter of her new last name! So appropriate, right?!)
The only thing not pictured here is all of the beautiful custom packaging that we created when we packed up her garters to be shipped!! Also not pictured here is the look on her daughter's face 30 years from now when Victoria gives her one or both of these garters for her very own wedding day!! <insert happy tears emoji>Victoria, I can't wait to hear about what you decide to put into the locket. Knowing how much you love florals and greenery, I have a feeling it will be something organic from your wedding day but anything you decide will most likely be beyond gorgeous! If you love these photos as much as we do and would like to speak with someone about having a custom garter made for yourself or someone whom you love, then please feel free to contact us via email at info@lagartier.com OR you can use the contact form by clicking here. Happy La Gartier everyone! -

A Rose Gold "Faith" Wedding Garter for La Gartier Bride Kelly Lane Mangum
La Gartier bride Kelly Lane Mangum had a stunning wedding in Atlanta, Georgia at the beginning of June. How do I know for sure? Because I was there!! I met Kelly through the Atlanta wedding industry years ago as she is a highly sought after event/wedding photographer in ATL......and on June 3rd, I had the pleasure of attending her insanely chic nuptials. Just imagine a helipad, a 365 degree view of the Atlanta skyline, gorgeous black and white decor, plus one of the prettiest Hayley Paige gown in the world. (Full disclosure: I say that about every Hayley Paige gown!) In short, Kelly's wedding was the epitome of what you think of when you think of a urban-chic wedding. However, as a guest, I was privy to more than just how things looked from the outside. That is, I was witness to a wedding that was not only pretty on the outside but also warm, romantic and full of love on the inside. Seriously, I couldn't stop crying during the ceremony. And I'm not talking about light, pat-at-your-eyes-with-a-napkin crying. I'm talking about downright Kim K. ugly crying. No joke, I don't even know how I became that emotional in public. Perhaps I have grown closer to Kelly than I realized. I did, after all, create her gorgeous wedding garter for her. (see photos below)For Kelly's garter, I created a custom version of our Florentine garter, complete with "something blue" embroidery on the inside, commemorating the date of Kelly's wedding on the inner part of her garter. Then, to make it even more special, I created an all black satin toss garter for her, with a very special silver and gold cross pendant at the center. Why might you ask? Because Kelly and Michael met in youth group over eight years ago!!! And perhaps more importantly, because faith is an absolutely paramount ingredient within their relationship.Dear Kelly, thank you from the bottom of my heart for inviting me to your wedding!!! (#loveyou #meanit)Creating your custom "Florentine Faith" garter set was an absolute blast!Side note: If you love these photos as much as we do and would like to speak with someone about having a custom garter made for yourself or someone whom you love, then please feel free to contact us via email at info@lagartier.com OR you can use the contact form by clicking here. Happy La Gartier everyone!La Gartier bride Kelly Lane Mangum's wedding garters photographed by Milanes PhotographyKelly's toss garter had a gold and silver cross at the center to represent the one thing that matters most in her relationship: faithMy favorite part?
