Wedding Garters That Sparkle For Brides Who Sparkle
Ok, so I know that there is such a thing as National Puppy Day. And I know that there is such a thing as National Doughnut Day. There is even "National Hike With a Geek Day." (No joke. I'm totally serious. Google it. It exists.)But does anyone know if there is a National Brides Who Sparkle Day?? If there isn't, then there should be. I will be the first to sign the petition. Because you know why? It would basically be a day dedicated to the women who wear our garters!! Seriously, La Gartier brides are the BEST. They are some of the kindest, brightest, most creative, well-mannered and talented women out there, including our recent bride Heather Black. Heather was kind enough to send us a link to her wedding gallery last Wednesday, and you should have seen my face when I first saw these beautiful photos. (I almost dropped my phone while I was standing in line at Starbucks! No joke!) What I love about these photos is that they show you how utterly classy wedding garters can be when worn with just the right thing, by a woman who exudes class and elegance. Sound like you? Then we want you to be apart of our super sparkly La Gartier family!! You can click here to shop our collection. Happy La Gartier everyone! And Heather-- if you are reading this, then thank you for being YOU.La Gartier bride Heather Black slipping on her sparkling Joy garter and matching rhinestone toss garter. Blush Pink Wedding Garters Fit For A Queen-- a La Gartier Queen, that is.
If peach is the tropical cousin of pink, then blush pink is the uber-feminine little sister, constantly redesigning her bedroom and always speaking in a soft voice. Seriously, it makes sense to me that blush pink is an extremely popular wedding color. It embodies romanticism so effortlessly, so easily....that's its almost suspicious. Here at La Gartier, we offer quite a few different pink options within our collection, but none of them are as gorgeous as our Blush Pink Sweetheart garter. (see photos below for a visual). This garter is absolutely stunning not only for the fact that the base color is blush pink (a statement in itself), but also because it has a french lace overlay and a tiny tiny rhinestone at the center of the bow. (for the bride who wants a touch of sparkle but not too much!) The best part? We are able to custom make this beauty to fit your leg perfectly as long as you do not mind leaving us your leg measurement in the "comments" section of your check out! Below are multiple photos of our infamous Blush Pink Sweetheart garter as well as a leg measurement guide for all of you that want a perfect fit for your garter!Thank you for staying so loyal through the years and please let us know if you have any questions at all by using the contact form here. Happy La Gartier everyone!Front view- blush pink silk underlay with a exquisite french lace overlay. At center: one single light light ivory satin bow with sparkling rhinestone detail in the middle.Side view- the eyelash detailing at the bottom of the lace is one of my favorite precious details on this garter. The Blush Pink Sweetheart garter inside of our signature La Gartier box. Currently, we have a much prettier box than the one in the above photo. (this was our old box. It got us through for years but we upgraded in 2016 to a box that will blow your mind. Everything about it screams luxury. To see a photo of it, please click here and click through the photos.) -

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier bride Lindsay Rogers' Military Garter and Notre Dame Toss Garter Set
I'm not going to lie, I am not a huge fan of sports-themed garters. Neither is La Gartier bride Lindsay Rogers. I mean, let's be real, after seeing so many organza-centric, cheap satin sports garters on Etsy, it's hard to get on board with the idea of a football themed garter under your gown. But when Lindsay contacted us last January, she had only her fiance's interests in mind instead of her own. (pretty sure that's called love) That is, when Lindsay contacted us months ago, she told me that she really wanted to have a toss garter that her fiancé would be psyched to find on her leg without all of the cheesiness that you find with other sports garters she had seen, so we created a very chic, velvet-based Norte Dame toss garter using high-end materials. Then, to make her set a true heirloom piece, Lindsay shipped me the name tag from her fiancé's military uniform. (tissues, anyone?) The final set is so incredible!! (see photos below) When I look at this set, I can't help but think of Lindsay walking down the aisle literally wearing something that her fiancé wore while defending our country. In this way, her garter seems to become a symbol of not only American protection but also his protection of her, wrapped pretty around her leg like a love shield. Lindsay, it's been such an honor to work with you!!! Thank you for trusting me with such deeply meaningful items!!

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Brittney Horton's Garter Made From Her Mother's Wedding Gown
Creating a wedding garter using a bride's mothers' wedding gown is a beautiful thing. It is a certain type of custom garter that we have been making for brides for years. In fact, we are becoming known for "repurposed" customizations of this kind and they are always an absolute honor to be asked to do so naturally I was taken aback when La Gartier bride Brittney Horton asked me to create a garter for her using her mother's wedding gown that was hand-sewn by her grandmother. Let me just repeat that in case the utter specialness of it can double-whammy: Brittney's mother's gown was created by Brittney's grandmother. And not only that but some of the sewing on the gown was done by hand, meaning that Brittney's grandmother most likely spent countless night with a needle and thread creating her daughter's gown. When Brittney asked me if she could sent me parts of the gown to transform into a wedding garter for her wedding, I couldn't say YES quickly enough. There was only one thing left to do after Brittney shipped me the fabric from her mother's gown: that is, we needed to make sure that her garter contained at least 1 powerful element that spoke directly to her relationship story. The ah-ha moment came when Brittney told me that her fiancé popped the question at Disneyworld...and that, furthermore, they had chosen a Disney resort in Hawaii as the location of their wedding! When she told me this, it became apparent very quickly that we needed to find a way to incorporate a Disney element into her garter as her small but powerful statement pendant. Below are final photos of her garters. This personalized wedding garter set is so beautiful because it perfectly juxtaposes heavy heirloom significance (with the grandmother/mother fabric) with the fun/cute/playful Disney element that almost every bride can relate to. Dear Brittney: I don't know who said that Disney-themed wedding accessories weren't chic. They apparently just didn't have the right materials.
