I’m totally serious. I owe her one big time and there is DEFINITELY some big magic up in the sky that helped us cross paths. I am stunned by the combination of your physical beauty and your inner prettiness. It’s definitely not common. Girl, you are a TRUE UNICORN. 🦄🦄🦄🦄.
    To make up artist Erica Bogart: I am not only grateful for your shimmer-highlight-glam-bam-talents, but to the universe in general for bringing us closer these past few months via various creative projects. I once heard somebody say “let your work be your prayer” .....and I can’t help but wonder if our simultaneous always-striving-to-grow-to-greater-heights hustle is, at this point in our lives, in perfect alignment with one another’s right now...which....when fused together, consequently resulted in these incredible photos of Mariya ...not to mention mini-charcuterie boards and pink telephones. 👯📞😂
    And to the amazing ATL bridal store Elite Pour La Vie- I am speechless. This gown made the entire shoot and I would like to apologize to NO ONE about how much we are going to be tagging you in 2021. 😂😂🤗 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

    Semi-Custom Garter Spotlight: Jacqueline LaBeau's Quartz and Something Blue Garter Set

     Brides who love quartz are some of my favorite brides in the entire world. There is always something so loving, bohemian and fantasy-like about them. It is almost as if a Disney princess collided with a mother-earth-loving, music-festival going hippie girl...and to be honest--- I can never get enough of it! That is exactly what happened when I met La Gartier bride Jacqueline LaBeau who wanted something personalized for her wedding, but didn't want to lose sight of her wedding budget. For this reason, Jacqueline booked a semi-custom spot with us last February!!
    She thought about her options carefully before choosing the semi-custom as the definite route for her wedding spending plan. However, after viewing all of her choices (especially the charm choices!) she told us that she felt she could express her personal style and achieve an heirloom-worthy-look within the semi-custom design choices.
    Um, but do you know what I love? I don't think that Jacqueline knew just how much she was going to LOVE her final wedding garter set until she saw photos. (See images below!)

    Jacqueline chose the Hayley garter due to the fact that she was wearing a Hayley Paige gown on her wedding day. (side note: she also fangirls HARD over HP, so wearing any other designer was out of the question.)

    For her statement charm, Jacqueline picked out the clear Aura quartz pendant. Why might you ask? Jackie loves all things mystical like astrology, stones that heal, energy readings and-- most importantly-- her yoga-master boyfriend Aaron Spagling. (look him up on instagram immediately! He is incredible!)

    For this reason, Jacqueline felt that the clear Aura quartz pendant expressed not only her personal style but also her relationship beautifully.

    The final product came out so unbelievably gorgeous. To make her set even more personalized, Jacqueline picked the baby blue embroidery thread from our collection so as to cross off her "something blue" by way of her initials and Aaron's initials. (not to mention their wedding date!)

    Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Natalie Pack's Viszla-Inspired, Sparkle-Blasted Wedding Garter Set

    If you have seen a Guess advertisement over the past 3 years, chances are that you have seen Natalie Pack's face. She is quickly becoming one of America's most-beloved supermodels, known for her work with not only Guess but also CK1, America's Next Top Model and more. But there are a few things about Natalie that her high-gloss, incredibly alluring images don't convey. And no-- I'm not talking about her diet and fitness regimen. I'm talking about her down-to-earth side..the side of her that's just like you and me: that is to say- the part of her that LOVES her dog. Seriously though, this girl loves her pooch more than the average dog-lover, which is saying A LOT if you are from a canine-centered family like me. (Or if you live in Colorado. No joke. The name of this state should be the dog-loving state.) 😂😂

     

    If you follow Natalie on instagram, then you have most likely caught a glimpse of her beloved Viszla "Fig."

     

    And if you haven't, then you must go immediately and check him out!! To say that he is handsome is a total understatement.😍

    So, when Katherine Webb got in touch with me a few months ago about creating a custom garter set for Natalie (#BestiePoints💯), it was only natural that I immediately suggested adding some sort of canine-inspired element to Natalie's design. So what does that look like might you ask? How can you make canine chic and elegant? Well, if you have the help of a designer called Esquivel and Fees. That is, after much searching, Natalie and I found an incredible jewelry designer in Houston, Texas that hand-casts each sterling silver pendant that they make, ensuring that each pendant is unique and PERFECT. What did we order might you ask? Well, a sterling silver Vizsla pendant of course!!!     Can you believe the detail in that Vizsla-pendant?!?!!  Talk about high-quality. This little baby was created by a shop in Houston, Texas called Esquivel and Fees and I honestly don't know why they aren't worldwide famous. That is how much I love them.

    Her "something blue" is hidden on the inside of her garter via two embroidered patches: one for her wedding date and one for her and her fiance's initials. 

    The lace on the back band of Natalie's garters was selected based off of the lace on her gorgeous wedding gown. (I can't say the designer until after the wedding but I promise I'll be posting tons of pics!!)

    Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier bride Becca Lenois' Greecian Opal Princess and Lace Bridal Garter

    Every once and a greecian moon, I will have the opportunity to create a custom wedding garter design for a bride who doesn't even know she wants one. <insert tons of LOLS>  This was DEFINITELY the case last month when I worked with La Gartier bride Rebecca Lenois, who was gifted a custom wedding garter by her good friend (and one of our beloved past clients" Jill Sullivan Pasparikas. Jill contacted me and told me that she wanted her good friend Rebecca to have the same custom experience as herself, so she booked Rebecca's custom spot over a year ago, ensuring that she would have her garter in time for her wedding. Two months ago, I had the honor of e-meeting Rebecca and learning all about her relationship, her wedding and her personal style. The custom design that ensued is hands down one of the most beautiful and unique Greek-inspired custom garters ever created. (Cue music from the movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding.)     The pendant that we purchased for the center of Rebecca's garter is pretty much my favorite piece of jewelry in the world. It was a vintage gold and silver pendant with the greek key symbol around the edges. 
    At the center of the pendant is the owl. In ancient Greece, the owl is a symbol and also the symbol of Goddess Athena.

    For her base, Rebecca selected our "Athena" garter not only due to the name but also because she loved the rhinestone and opal detailing within it. After looking at her gown and her other accessories, it was a no-brainer.
    For Rebecca's "something blue", we decided to have her wedding date as well as her initials sewn into the inside of her garter. Talk about a beautiful personalized detail, right?

    My favorite details? The lace on the back band of Rebecca's garter matched the lace on her gorgeous wedding gown. All the heart eyes for fine french lace.

    Custom Garter Spotlight: Kayla Shudy's Vintage Blue Butterfly Heirloom Wedding Garter Set

    When I first spoke with La Gartier bride Kayla Shudy on the phone, I instantly felt a connection to not only her as a person but also her story. I could tell that Kayla was sweet, honest, and lived her life with a full and open heart. As I listened to her talk, I sensed that her garters were going to be amazing-- and they were. By the time we had finished her phone consultation, I felt more determined than ever to create a wedding garter set for her that reflected not only her beautiful heart but also her story. Why? Well, I can write it down here in words but I don't feel that I will ever truly be able to convey the beauty of Kayla's custom wedding garter set. The back story: Kayla's mother passed away in 2011, shortly after meeting Kayla's soon-to-by hubby. When Kayla got engaged, she knew that she wanted to be able to have her mother with her in some way on her wedding day, but wasn't sure how. When she heard about our custom designs, she reached out and asked us if she could send us a sleeve from her mother's wedding dress so that we could use the fabric within her wedding garter design. (We call these designs "repurposed" wedding garter designs and I adore them with all of my creative being.)
    So, Kayla shipped us the sleeve to our Atlanta studio and we got to work right away. Little did I know that the garter set that would be born of our meeting would end up being one of the prettiest custom garters this side of the Mississippi. 
    The elements of Kayla's design were so multi-layered and UNIQUE that I can't think of anything else to do but bullet-point them! Scroll through the photos below to learn more about deeply meaningful custom wedding garter set.

    The butterfly that you see at the center of Kayla's toss was special due to the fact that it was Kayla's mothers' favorite symbol. Not only that, but it also served as Kayla's "something blue."

    The best part? This locket was a vintage find, so it also serves as Kayla's "something old".  I am literally dying to know what Kayla is going to decide to put inside the locket on her wedding day.

    The back band of Kayla's keepsake garter was embellished with dozens of tiny sequins and pearls that were taken from the sleeve of her mother's vintage wedding gown. *grabs tissues*

    I knew that Kayla was not going to want to toss her vintage butterfly locket garter, so I created a third REAL toss garter for her that featured a silver "O" charm at the center (which, as you can guess, is the first letter of her new last name.)

    La Gartier bride Kayla Shudy's wedding garters inside of our signature box. I have no words to describe how honored I feel to be a small part of such a significant day in Kayla's life. I can only hope that we made her mother proud.
