Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Carly Grace Hinchman's Pink and Opal Wedding Garter Set
If you live in Atlanta and you are even slightly apart of the fitness scene, then you most likely know Carly Grace Hinchman. She is known as the yoga barbie around town. She drives a pink jeep, wears the loudest yoga pants you can find and owns her own yoga studio - Thunderbolt Power Yoga -- in Buckhead. I had the pleasure of meeting Carly years ago when I first started practicing yoga and then again when both she and I were selected as Jezebel Magazine's 20 Most Eligible Atlantans. (2014 was crazy. Don't even get me started on what it was like to be called out as single in front of 70,000 readers.)Fast forward to 2017 ---> Carly Grace is no longer receiving press for being an eligible bachelorette. No, instead she is receiving press for being one of the most sucessful new yoga studios in Atlanta and for being engaged!!! That's right-- Carly Grace is getting ready to walk down the aisle in just seven short days!! And I had the utter pleasure of being asked to create her wedding garters. As soon as she asked me, I knew immediately that the design should contain two essential signature "yoga barbie" elements:1. The color pink2. An adorable elephant charmWhy the elephant do you ask? On the walls of Carly's studio are two beautiful elephant murals (see photos below) that have come to symbolize Thunderbolt Power Yoga's playful & youthful allure, so I knew that her set needed to have an elephant on it is some way. I felt passionately convinced that it would be the perfect shout out to her favorite animal. So, I set to work with the shopping trips for the pink velvet and the elephant charm right away.Below are detailed photos of Carly's unbelievably special wedding garter set! If you love this set as much as we do, then please read the captions below each photo to learn more about the velvety details that make this design so meaningful!! Interested in a custom garter set of your own?? You can contact us by clicking here.Carly chose our infamous Athena garter as her keepsake piece. For her toss (which she will most likely never toss!) we decided to use a light pink velvet fabric for the body, with a silver elephant charm at the center.Peep the elephants murals on the wall. Don't you just love them?!I can't tell which I like more-- the little iridescent rhinestone eye or the little carved heart on the rump!On the inside of Carly's toss garter, we added her wedding hashtag #marryingmilyo in blue. She told me she cried when she saw this. Which leads me to a question-- why is it that embroidery is so.darn.powerful??Her "something blue" was not only meaningful but also modern and hidden. I was actually dying to add the word "namaste" somewhere but we didn't have room!I am all out of photos of her amazing wedding garters, but below are photos from her studio as well as a few unbelievably well-executed inversions. If you are a yoga-lover like me, then you will most likely go crazy over this set. I know I did! Stay tuned for more custom garter spotlight recaps and thank you all so much for reading!Namaste. -

Sparkly Wedding Garters + Bella Belle Shoes = Bridal Dream Come True
Last week I had the pleasure of working with luxury wedding photographer Brandi Schaffran-Webb of Alexis June Weddings. As of this very moment, shooting with Brandi last week was hands down the best day I have had so far in May. And while we may still have nine days left before the month is offiicially over, I doubt that there is any other day that will beat this magical dream shoot day.It started at the beginning with the drive itself. It took over an hour to drive to her studio, through lush Georgia farms and expansive forest-lined highways, which was actually wonderfully calming and grounding. (Seriously, I had no idea how much I needed it.)Then, once I arrived at her beautiful, naturally-lit studio, we set to work placing all of the details in the right place, blasting music and working together seamlessly. It was then that the real beauty started.Need proof? Check out the photos plus their captions underneath!! ------>Floral booties from Bella Belle Shoes + the Vienna garter make for a gorgeous and classy bridal combo, don't you think? Our Hayley garter and our Vienna garter paired with two pairs of shoes from Belle Belle Shoes. (oh, and greenery) (oh, and orchids) (oh, and total beauty x 10,000!!!!)Gotta love this gem block "I Do" vow book from Wedding Story Writer. I can't tell which is prettier-- our Vienna garter, the vintage wedding ring or the vow book.If every bride could have a La Gartier garter, flats to dance in from Bella Belle Shoes and a vow book from Wedding Story Writer, then I'm pretty sure it wouldn't matter who your photographer was. Your wedding details photos would be pure fire.Floral Booties and Sparkly Wedding Garters go together like peas and carrots. Or, better yet, margaritas and a sunny patio. Or Gigi and Bella. Or Audrey Hepburn and the color black. Or tissues and The Notebook. Or Britney Spears and trucker hats. Ok, you get the point. -

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier bride Alicia Relvas's Purple and Black Crystalline Wedding Garter Set
Just finished: La Gartier bride Alicia Relvas's custom electric violet & black crystalline wedding garter set. Alicia's original request was to have a garter that incorporated the color black while remaining classic but edgy. When Alicia told me that her style icons were Gwen Stefani and Audrey Hepburn, my heart broke into a million little inspired pieces and I just knew that her garter needed to come to life. Because her colors were lavender and grey, we created an electric violet velvet toss garter reminiscent of Gwen Stefani's L.A.M.B. line. Then, because her fiancé proposed to her at the base of the Eifel Tower, we decided to include one single "Paris" Eifel Tower pendant underneath the bow as her statement pendant. My favorite part?? When Alicia asked me to bring the color black into her garter, we decided to do it by way of tiny black sparkling beads along the midline of her garter, which lent a dramatic, edgy look to her design....and that matched her personality oh-so perfectly!!Alicia, creating this set with you was such so much fun!! It's not everyday that I get to work with a bride who loves black (or electric violet for that matter) so working on this set with you was so refreshing!!!! If Gwen Stefani and Audrey Hepburn had a baby, and if that baby was a girl, and if she decided to wear a garter when she got married, then I'm pretty sure that the garter we created would be it. Wait, hang on, is that you???The Eifel Tower pendant at the center of Alicia's toss garter was a gem that symblizes where her fiance proposed to her : at the base of the Eifel tower!!! Isn't this charm dreamy?! We found it in a shop on Etsy called Rudiana that I adore!Another gorgeous photo of Alicia's "Paris" pendant in rose gold.We even created a third toss garter for her so that she did not have to throw her beautiful Paris-charmed garter. At the center of the bow, Alicia and I decided to place one single greenish-blue heart embellishment for a fun and playful "something blue" -

Published! Our Hayley Paige Opal Wedding Garter Featured on Elizabeth Anne Designs!
There is nothing like starting a new work week with a brand new feature on one of the most popular wedding blogs in America. Seriously, if I had to pick between a brand new pair of Louboutins and a press feature as lovely as this, I would pick the press every single time. Suffice to say, I knew that this week was off to a great start when the uber-well-known wedding blog Elizabeth Anne Designs published a styled shoot that we participated in last month at Foxhall Resort.
The inspiration for the day was Classic Southern Romance...and I am not lying when I tell you that every detail that day was dripping with classic Southern charm!! Below are photos from the shoot, including my two favorites: the photos that show off our opal Hayley garter alongside Jimmy Choo's "Luna" heels. (gotta love a pair of sparkle heels that are inspired by the night sky!)
Below are photos from this peachy, over-the-top romantic styled shoot that just made our Monday feel like Christmas as well as a little bit about the shoot itself! Happy La Gartier everyone!
"Nestled approximately 30 minutes, but a world away, from downtown Atlanta is Foxhall Resort, and the tranquil setting provided a perfect backdrop for this classic and romantic inspiration shoot designed by Evermore Weddings & Events. A palette of slate blue, blush, peach, and green created a soft but elegant ambiance, and a blush Hayley Paige gown stole the show! Hacman Floral created a showstopping pastel bouquet to accompany the bridal look, which featured soft, modern hair and makeup from Elizabeth Sloan Beauty. The result is an absolute fairy tale! Beautiful details such as a rounded ceremony altar, elevated greenery centerpiece, and a custom peach cocktail by Lyght House Cocktails complete the scene. We are completely spellbound, as always, by the images from the incredibly talented Brandi of Alexis June Weddings!"

Client Blogs > Client Reviews
Last week, one of our past clients Madison McCoy wrote the sweetest blog about her experience with La Gartier. I would be lying if I said that her words didn't bring tears to my eyes. Right now, it's pretty much the height of wedding season and any bridal industry professional will tell you that we are entering some of the most challenging summer months in terms of volume and inquiries. Sometimes, it is little things like the blog below that keep you going...and remind you why you do the job you do: because you LOVE IT. Without further adieu, here is exactly what Madison published last week:
"There is a theory that the wedding garter was regarded as a token of love with "magical powers," which is freaking cool. Although garters are a small part of your wedding day, they are one of the few pieces of wedding day attire that you can store in a small place and look at on a regular basis. They're also another way to incorporate your own personal style, and they're the perfect heirloom to pass down to your daughter or future daughter-in-law.
If you read my “Unconventional Pops of Color for the Bride” post, you’ll remember all of the gorgeous La Gartier garters that I featured. I think the best part about planning a wedding is working with so many vendors who are passionate about all of the little details that go into your big day, and that’s what drew me to La Gartier.
Not only are their garters handmade, but they also make custom garters as well. La Gartier has made garters for Jamie Lynn Spears, Katherine Webb, Hayley Paige, Nikki Ferrell, and more. If you check out her insta, you’ll see all of the gorgeous brides they have made garters for and a ton more behind the scenes footage of the creative process. Seriously, this account is probably one of my favorites because I’m always wondering what she, Sarah AKA the glitter and sparkle queen, will come up with next.
My personal experience with La Gartier was nothing short of amazing and stress free. Sarah truly takes pride in everything she does, and she works day and night to make sure that the bride is 10000% happy with her garter(s). She sent me regular updates throughout the entire process and always checked in with me before making decisions, even though we were always on the same page.
You can read the story of my garter on La Gartier’s blog! It’s definitely one of my most special accessories for my wedding day, and you’ll see why.
I put my name on the list for my custom garter in late fall of 2016, and I received it early February. Sarah took that time between fall and February to find the perfect lace, flowers, and velvet for my surprise toss garter, that perfectly matched my vision. To this day, it blows my mind she put so much time and effort into my garter!
If you go the custom route, she includes a beautiful toss garter made from Swarovski crystals, but because she had some extra fabric, she surprised me with a complementary third garter. *mind blown*
When I opened the bright pink, bubble wrapped package, I literally gasped. Sarah had wax sealed the sweetest hand written note and added a few extra flowers from my garter for that little special touch. I was literally screaming, and I hadn't even opened the box with my garters yet. When I finally composed myself enough to look inside, I immediately noticed that the fabric and materials she had used were not the kind you'd find in any store. They are so high quality, and she even went as far as to include a sweet La Gartier charm inside the garter. I die.
I truly couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience with Sarah and La Gartier, and I would recommend her to any and every one in search for the most perfect garter."
