A Vintage Locket & Opal Wedding Garter For La Gartier bride Victoria Henderson
As June comes to a close, so does all of our June customizations. This month, I worked with three different brides to create 3 completely unique wedding garters sets. While I don't usually play favorites, I have to say that June's "winning" custom garter design is La Gartier bride Victoria Henderson's vintage locket and opal garter set. (see photos and captions below!)When Victoria contacted us last March to book her custom garter, she told me that she wanted something that matched her gown as well as the beading on her sash. I agreed to take on her customization immediately, expecting it to turn out just like her gown.......... but her garters ended up being SO MUCH MORE!! Here are just a few photos of Victoria's garter set along with some written info about my favorite designs elements:The rose gold locket at the center of her toss is an original antique that Victoria and I stumbled across on Etsy. We just about died when we found this one because "M" is the first initial of her fiancé' name: Montana. We weren't even looking for an engraved locket, let alone one engraved with an "M"....but it's my personal opinion that this BEAUTY found its way to us for the creation of her garters. Meant to be? Yes, yes and yes!
The pink velvet ribbon on her toss garter was chosen to match her bridesmaids dresses as well as the slight blush pink tone of her Enzoani bridal gown. Also, the opal and rhinestone beading on her keepsake matches the beading on her sash, but not so matchy matchy that it's obnoxious.
Her wedding date and initials are embroidered on the inside of her garter in navy blue to match her groomsmens tuxes. (This means that Victoria has not only one but two "something blues" for her wedding day!)Because Victoria didn't want to toss her vintage "M" locket garter, we created this amazing "G" inspired toss for her. That way, she could keep the vintage locket design and still do the garter toss. (G is the first letter of her new last name! So appropriate, right?!)
The only thing not pictured here is all of the beautiful custom packaging that we created when we packed up her garters to be shipped!! Also not pictured here is the look on her daughter's face 30 years from now when Victoria gives her one or both of these garters for her very own wedding day!! <insert happy tears emoji>Victoria, I can't wait to hear about what you decide to put into the locket. Knowing how much you love florals and greenery, I have a feeling it will be something organic from your wedding day but anything you decide will most likely be beyond gorgeous! If you love these photos as much as we do and would like to speak with someone about having a custom garter made for yourself or someone whom you love, then please feel free to contact us via email at info@lagartier.com OR you can use the contact form by clicking here. Happy La Gartier everyone! -

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier Bride Carly Grace Hinchman's Pink and Opal Wedding Garter Set
If you live in Atlanta and you are even slightly apart of the fitness scene, then you most likely know Carly Grace Hinchman. She is known as the yoga barbie around town. She drives a pink jeep, wears the loudest yoga pants you can find and owns her own yoga studio - Thunderbolt Power Yoga -- in Buckhead. I had the pleasure of meeting Carly years ago when I first started practicing yoga and then again when both she and I were selected as Jezebel Magazine's 20 Most Eligible Atlantans. (2014 was crazy. Don't even get me started on what it was like to be called out as single in front of 70,000 readers.)Fast forward to 2017 ---> Carly Grace is no longer receiving press for being an eligible bachelorette. No, instead she is receiving press for being one of the most sucessful new yoga studios in Atlanta and for being engaged!!! That's right-- Carly Grace is getting ready to walk down the aisle in just seven short days!! And I had the utter pleasure of being asked to create her wedding garters. As soon as she asked me, I knew immediately that the design should contain two essential signature "yoga barbie" elements:1. The color pink2. An adorable elephant charmWhy the elephant do you ask? On the walls of Carly's studio are two beautiful elephant murals (see photos below) that have come to symbolize Thunderbolt Power Yoga's playful & youthful allure, so I knew that her set needed to have an elephant on it is some way. I felt passionately convinced that it would be the perfect shout out to her favorite animal. So, I set to work with the shopping trips for the pink velvet and the elephant charm right away.Below are detailed photos of Carly's unbelievably special wedding garter set! If you love this set as much as we do, then please read the captions below each photo to learn more about the velvety details that make this design so meaningful!! Interested in a custom garter set of your own?? You can contact us by clicking here.Carly chose our infamous Athena garter as her keepsake piece. For her toss (which she will most likely never toss!) we decided to use a light pink velvet fabric for the body, with a silver elephant charm at the center.Peep the elephants murals on the wall. Don't you just love them?!I can't tell which I like more-- the little iridescent rhinestone eye or the little carved heart on the rump!On the inside of Carly's toss garter, we added her wedding hashtag #marryingmilyo in blue. She told me she cried when she saw this. Which leads me to a question-- why is it that embroidery is so.darn.powerful??Her "something blue" was not only meaningful but also modern and hidden. I was actually dying to add the word "namaste" somewhere but we didn't have room!I am all out of photos of her amazing wedding garters, but below are photos from her studio as well as a few unbelievably well-executed inversions. If you are a yoga-lover like me, then you will most likely go crazy over this set. I know I did! Stay tuned for more custom garter spotlight recaps and thank you all so much for reading!Namaste. -

Custom Garter Spotlight: La Gartier bride Lindsay Rogers' Military Garter and Notre Dame Toss Garter Set
I'm not going to lie, I am not a huge fan of sports-themed garters. Neither is La Gartier bride Lindsay Rogers. I mean, let's be real, after seeing so many organza-centric, cheap satin sports garters on Etsy, it's hard to get on board with the idea of a football themed garter under your gown. But when Lindsay contacted us last January, she had only her fiance's interests in mind instead of her own. (pretty sure that's called love) That is, when Lindsay contacted us months ago, she told me that she really wanted to have a toss garter that her fiancé would be psyched to find on her leg without all of the cheesiness that you find with other sports garters she had seen, so we created a very chic, velvet-based Norte Dame toss garter using high-end materials. Then, to make her set a true heirloom piece, Lindsay shipped me the name tag from her fiancé's military uniform. (tissues, anyone?) The final set is so incredible!! (see photos below) When I look at this set, I can't help but think of Lindsay walking down the aisle literally wearing something that her fiancé wore while defending our country. In this way, her garter seems to become a symbol of not only American protection but also his protection of her, wrapped pretty around her leg like a love shield. Lindsay, it's been such an honor to work with you!!! Thank you for trusting me with such deeply meaningful items!!

Our Ivory Pearl and Rhinestone Wedding Garter is SOLD OUT
Sad fact: our ivory pearl toss garter is officially SOLD OUT for the month of April, however we will have it back in stock on May 10th. (see photos below for an idea of what our ivory pearl garter looks like!)If you were planning on ordering this gorgeous pearly garter for your wedding day, we will cross our fingers that you can wait until May 10th to order. If not, we highly recommend our rhinestone toss garter, which is a design with TONS of sparkle but unfortunately no pearls. You can see our rhinestone toss garter by clicking here. In need of a garter that has pearls? Then you might consider our blue pearl toss garter that is designed just like the ivory pearl garter but with a double dose of "something blue." You can see our blue pearl garter by clicking here.(Side note: we take great effort to make sure that we do not sell out of our most popular designs during wedding season. However, there are a few rare occasions when it happens. Instances like this make me cringe because I want nothing more than to be able to provide our brides with the products that they need, at the exact time that they need it. But alas, it happens every once and while which is why I always encourage our brides to order their garters at least three months before their wedding. That way, if we are sold out of something, you will only need to wait about one month for us to have it back in stock. Not satisfied? Email us at info@lagartier.com to see if you can pre-pay for your design in order to have first dibs on our new designs. Ok, rant over.)Our ivory pearl toss garter beside the signature La Gartier box. Swoon.
Our ivory pearl toss garter combined with our Pink Evelyn bow garter to create the prettiest little wedding garter set that you ever did see.
